Water supply system

Water supply system of the industrial park

The main water source for the industrial park is surface water from Tri An Lake, supplied through a project by Gia Tan Water Supply Joint Stock Company to serve five communes in Kiem Tan and Dau Giay districts.

Water supply station for the industrial park:

The industrial park will be supplied with clean water from Thong Nhat Industrial Park Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company at a capacity of 10,000 m3/day. The required water pressure on the pipeline from the water supply unit to the connection point in the industrial park must be at least 2 bar. Clean water from the water supply unit is piped from a D600 pipe on National Highway 20, directly connected to the industrial park’s water supply station’s reservoir and then distributed to each enterprise within the industrial park’s water supply network. The water supply station and booster pump station are located in the northern part of the industrial park, covering an area of F = 1.12 hectares.

The water reservoir has a capacity of 2,000 m3, and the water tower and booster pump station with a pressure of H = 30 m are used to pump water into the distribution network to supply each enterprise in the industrial park when Gia Tan Company’s water supply system malfunctions.

The distribution network consists of 18,849 meters of HDPE pipe, distributed as follows:

      • D100 : 554 m
      • D150 : 12.216 m
      • D200 : 271 m
      • D250 : 110 m
      • D300 : 610 m
      • D350 : 088 m

Along the network, a D100 fire hydrant is installed every 150 meters to provide water for firefighting.

Stormwater drainage system:

The stormwater drainage system is entirely new, constructed using reinforced concrete circular pipes, reinforced concrete box culverts with covers, and reinforced concrete open ditches, separating rainwater from industrial wastewater. The main drainage direction for the entire industrial park aligns with the topographic slope from North to South. The entire industrial park is divided into four drainage basins: Zone A has two basins and Zone B has two basins.

* Zone A: Sloping from North to South, the rainwater drainage system uses reinforced concrete circular pipes D600÷D2500 and drains out of the industrial park through outlets CX3, CX4, and CX6. The outlets drain into a planned concrete ditch along the eastern boundary of Zone A, then through 3 culverts to the existing road (which will be upgraded), and finally into the Nhan stream. Outlet CX5 is cancelled; the drainage system from outlet CX5 is connected and routed to outlet CX4 according to Decision No. 49/QD-UBND dated February 5, 2021, on approving the partial adjustment of the detailed construction planning at a scale of 1/2000 for Dau Giay Industrial Park.

* Zone B: Sloping from North to South, the rainwater drainage system uses reinforced concrete circular pipes combined with reinforced concrete box culverts from D600 – 2B3000 and drains out of the industrial park through discharge gates CX1. Discharge gate CX2 is abolished; the drainage system from discharge gate CX2 is connected and led to discharge gate CX1 according to Decision No. 49/QD-UBND dated February 5, 2021, on approving the partial adjustment of the detailed construction planning at a scale of 1/2000 for Dau Giay Industrial Park.

– An open reinforced concrete drainage ditch will be constructed on the northern side of the industrial park to collect rainwater from the higher terrain to the north, then channeled through a B2000 reinforced concrete box culvert to the CX1 discharge point.

– A rainwater drainage system will be built on both sides of the road to collect water flowing from the factories.

– Rainwater collection manholes will be spaced 40-50 meters apart.
